Cities & Regions
When people visit Argentina they usually choose between trekking the glaciers in Patagonia, watching a football game, heading to the beach or learning (and watching) tango. But Argentina is more than that.
Here are a few of the cities and regions most people visit in Argentina, and why they are so popular.
Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires has it all: history, night-life, shopping, museums and tango. Visit the Obelisk, stroll along 9 de Julio Avenue, watch tango shows (or even learn tango) and also, don’t forget to check out the markets.
Beef is at its best here – as well as pretty much all over Argentina – and the rumor is that you’ll find some of the best pizza outside Italy.

Patagonia
It’s the land of glaciers and breathtaking views. A visit to Argentina is not complete unless you climb on one of its glaciers. Also, walking between the penguins in Punta Tombo is a must.
Food wise, don’t forget to try cordero, the local lamb. And be sure to wash it down with mate.
